2012 (TRAILER)

Apparently Roland Emmerich (10,000 BC, The Day After Tomorrow, Independance Day) has either A.) decided to cash in on this whole 2012 apocalypse stuff (google it) or B.) become convinced that it’s true and is trying to warn the people of earth. Obviously, choice B would make me think dude is crazy and choice A is much more likely. Either way, the film is slated for release on July 10, 2009 and features Danny Glover and John Cusack. As I said in a previous post about this topic, I don’t have an opinion about it either way but I can safely say it’s going to be a big deal to people. At least to some people—and the buzz about it will be comparable (at least) to that of the whole Y2K-bug fiasco.

Honestly, maybe the Mayan’s just felt like messing with future generations when they decided to end their calendar at 2012? Or maybe they stopped it there out of pure laziness. I remember writing a poem about 2012 in Grade 7 after they taught us about Mayan civilization. The teacher actually had me recite it to the whole class and when I did, I remember struggling not laugh. Good times.

MUTO!

I’m out of town but I’ve set up some scheduled posts to automatically publish while I’m gone and this is one of them. Enjoy below an amazing feat of animation. The creators made this out of hundreds of still photos (I assume) and countless hours of… “graffiti vandalism.” Truly an innovative idea and the result is a really sweet visual journey along the streets of Buenos Airies.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: SO WORTH SEEING

I just saw an advanced screening of this movie and it’s as if..Superbad and Half Baked got together and made babies—really hilarious, awesome, non-stop laughs type babies. I honestly give it four stars, even despite all the bro-mance between the two main characters (like romance except between bros. get it? “haha”). Anyways, it comes out on Wednesday (August 6th) so watch it some time and check out the preview/trailer below:
