DJ AM’s shoe collection will reportedly be sold on eBay in a bid to raise funds for charity. More than 800 pairs of the late star’s sneakers will be put up for auction from November 15th to December 14th. All proceeds from the sales will go to the DJ AM Memorial Fund, which helps those struggling with substance addiction.

VANS FULL CAB FALL 09
Here’s a look at an upcoming release of Full Cabs that will be available later this fall. They appear to have some frogskin-like accents, which definitely ties into what I said before about Vans trying out some new materials. This will release as part of the core collection so you’ll be sure to have some arch support insoles in this mother.

HELP WU-TANG GET PAID!
They are obviously trying to cash in and stack dough for retirement… any way possible.

WORTH FINDING: VANS, HONEYEE
Yes, we’ve actually done fashion-related posts before. No, we don’t do them very often. Will I start doing more? Probably. And so here we have two items that are definitely worth finding in stores—or worth finding the money to pay shipping and handling for. I almost clicked “check out” on these Vans but decided against it last minute (for many reasons including the fact that I have 2 variations of black eras already)……. If you’re slightly more paid than me though, I suggest you go through with it. The details and quality materials on them alone deem them worthy.

OH JEEZ: NIKE AIR FORCE 180 PUMP
Since one of the main purposes of the LAF is to post that which has been lost over time but is worth finding again, it’s only natural we share some O.G. stuff with you. Hence the creation of this new (predominantly sneaker-related) post series that I intend to feature on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. Admittedly, I’ve tried (and failed) to start a few other weekly features in the past but I think this one, ‘Image Captures‘ and the ‘DJ’s We Like‘ series (which i never finished but will continue with some time) are here to stay…

(Originally I was going to use my own random images for this post but found these on Nicekicks.com, so that’s where they’re jacked from)
This time around I’ve chosen Nike’s last of 3 responses to the Reebok Pump line: the Nike Air Force 180 Pump. Continue reading after the jump…

STREETS –> BLOGS –> MAGAZINES
XXL December (alternate/additional covers after the jump):

This is proof positive that magazine editors rely on “blog culture” to keep their fingers on the pulse…… at least to some degree. I mean come on, this is every dude that every (non-lame) music blogger and I have blogged about for the last year or two. And this isn’t the first time in 2008. The shit’s getting so damn mainstream… I remember when you had to nerd out on the internet to be up on (and knowledgeable about) “streetwear” brands and shoes……. I don’t know how I’m going to keep staying original. MC hammer pants and turbans for 2009…?? Yeeeeeh boy!!! ..Oh wait andre 3000 already got on that…. fuck.
HYPER THAN YOUR DUNKS…
(…at least for basketball) The Kobe Bryant endorsed Nike Hyperdunk:
I played in a pair of these for the first time today and they actually lived up to my high expectations. Supposedly the most light-weight basketball shoe Nike has made to date and the official shoe of Team USA? $150 Canadian well spent in my opinion… much cheaper in the states I’m sure. I don’t even like how they look that much (although I like the colourway I have more than this black/black one) but they’re light as hell, perform well (whatever that means), have good arch and ankle support, and that’s all I was hoping for.
I’LL BE DAMNED IF YOU CATCH ME IN SOME AIR WACKS

This track is off her up-coming mixtape titled, ‘A Mixtape About Something… I Think‘ which drops on August 19th. Preach it, girl!

NIKE AIR TECH CHALLENGE II
I can’t say I wanted these when they first came out because like a lot of people, I didn’t watch pansy ass tennis players in 1989, I watched basketball! Actually, that’s a lie, I was four years old. I watched ninja turtles, and if I saw these I would have wanted them. All technicalities aside, this is a sick pair of sneakers and Nike was wise to retro them.
Learning from the mistakes of the 2007 release of the Nike Air Tech Challenge I, where too many “slight” modifications were made to the model, Nike chose to keep this pair as true to the original as possible. The only major difference with this release being that it does not feature any Agassi graphics, as he is no longer sponsored by Nike.
